Heart of Georgia Hospice Inc. offers Camp Wings, a bereavement camp, to children ages 6-16 who have lost a loved one. This camp is designed to help children understand that they are not alone, and that their feelings of grief and loss are normal, with the help of a safe and supportive environment in which to express their feelings.  This year’s program is scheduled to be held from November 6-8, 2009 at Camp Martha Johnston in Lizella, GA.   The funds collected during the yard sale will help fund Camp Wings ’ operation costs as well as aide in the purchase of food and other items for the duration of the camp weekend.  The mission of the 2009 Leadership WR class is to help Heart of Georgia Hospice meet these needs.

Monetary donations are always appreciated and should be made out to Heart of Georgia Hospice/Camp Wings.  Please mail any monetary donations to Brandie Thompson, 608 Amherst St., Kathleen, GA 31047.

All donations are tax deductible!  Donations may also be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce at 1228 Watson Blvd.

For more information about the yard sale, please call Dana Carpenter at 478.284.4569 or April Mouton at 478.922.8585.
